Bloom – Brunch Worth Leaving the House For

One of my favourite discoveries in Solihull has to be Bloom. As someone who loves interiors just as much as great food, this place had me from the moment I walked through the door.
The first thing you'll notice is the design. The beautiful mural, warm colour palette and carefully considered décor flow effortlessly from the entrance through to the café, lounge, toilets and even the overspill seating area. Every corner feels intentional, creating a relaxed space where you genuinely want to spend a couple of hours.
Bloom has a wonderfully diverse, multicultural clientele, which gives it a welcoming atmosphere and reflects everything I love about Birmingham and Solihull's food scene.
The menu puts a fresh twist on brunch classics with subtle South Asian flavours and spices running throughout. Whether you're after a hearty breakfast or a leisurely brunch with friends, there's plenty to choose from. My personal favourites are the avocado toast or the Full English, both of which never disappoint.
Their drinks menu is equally tempting, with a great selection of speciality coffees, lattes, matcha drinks and seasonal specials. On my latest visit, I opted for the mint hot chocolate – the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.
One word of warning... don't underestimate the new Parmesan chicken! The portion is huge and could easily feed two people. I happily took the rest home in a takeaway box, which definitely wasn't a hardship.
What keeps me going back is that Bloom is always evolving. New dishes and seasonal specials regularly appear on the menu, so every visit feels a little different.
Most importantly, the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed from start to finish.
If you're staying with Auburn Stays and fancy a brunch spot that's a little different from the usual chains, Bloom is one I'd happily recommend. Beautiful interiors, fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere
